How to use a duct rodder?

1. Place the conduit rod where the cable needs to be passed. Choose a suitable location with enough room to move around.
2. Set up barriers to mark your work area. You can place warning signs to mark your work area, especially if you work in a public place. This helps prevent people from entering your work area during the threading process. Also, make sure you and your staff are wearing the correct protective gear, such as gloves, hats, and safety shoes.
3. Place the rod horizontally, making sure all parts of the rod are installed correctly before entering the conduit. Release the handbrake from the cage and allow it to spin freely. This way you can easily pull it out as well.
4. Pull the rod tip out of the cage and unscrew the rod from the frame. Be careful to avoid damaging any components. Push it slowly into the catheter while making sure it fits into the opening. Avoid using any force to move the rod. Once it successfully reaches the other end of the rope, apply a brake to stop the cage from rotating and use a guy wire around its head.
5. Pull the rod through the opening and back into the cage. Remove the cable from the conduit and cover the rod completely inside the cage, then store the rod properly and you’re done!
